About the Women's Interclub Council
WIC is made up from the Grand 14. These are 14 yacht clubs in Puget Sound –
- Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club
From the WIC By-Laws:
.…The purpose of this organization shall be to schedule and assist in carrying out
an exchange of luncheons among the members of WIC on a non-profit basis and to
promote friendship among boaters….
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other boaters and establish new friendships.
WIC has its own set of officers – President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. The President can appoint a Parliamentarian, Historian and one or two Advisors, as she so desires. Offices are held in rotation by each club. Everett Yacht Club will be the Officers in 2016.
The WIC lunch schedule covers a two year period. With 14 yacht clubs, it takes two years to attend all the WIC luncheons...seven yacht clubs one year and the seven yacht clubs the next year.
A WIC Representative from EYC is appointed by the club's officers. The WIC Representative selects the WIC Alternate.
In addition to the seven luncheons per year, the WIC Representative and/or WIC Alternate are required to attend four Board Meetings. They are held in February, March, October and November.
The cost for luncheons is $12.00 per person and reservations are required in advance to the WIC Representative.
Plan to attend a luncheon and enjoy the fun!
